You're Right Where You Need To Be

Welcome to my home!  It’s wonderful to have you here.  For now, this will be brief, but I promise in the coming days we’ll have some good fun sharing our stories in this space!

I've been "launching" my blog for almost a year.  I've never felt quite ready and even now I'm nowhere near ready but when do we ever feel fully "ready" for our lives?  I’m not sure, but my commitment to myself is to live as fully in the moment as I can and this is part of the journey and commitment.  My life, our lives, are about LIVING in the moment and creating our stories, our memories…

"You are responsible for your life....and when you get that...everything changes...don't wait for somebody else to fix you, to save you or complete you..." Oprah

I've completed almost a full year of a major transition.  Something to celebrate!!  And what I've learned (mostly through yoga) is that how we are and how we live during transitions MATTERS!  Oh does it ever.  It's our life.  Our life is in the NOW and if you're in a transition you're in it--Your Life.

About a year ago, I left a very toxic work environment (which I don't think too much about anymore and won't talk too much about because I believe and live that our thoughts and what we give our attention to do indeed create our reality!) while at the same time actively forgiving and letting go (which feels so good and right so I will elaborate on lots!) of so much stuff--trauma.  I hardly recognize the person I was almost 1 year ago.  AND yet that person is very much me and part of why I am where I am today and who I am...and for this journey I have so much gratitude...and know I am right where I need to be; we all are...even (especially) when it doesn't feel like it.

I look forward to the stories we share in this space, and the love and support we all bring.  Much more to come!  While I can't be sure of the direction this blog will take, my intention is to share stories about actively forgiving, letting go, deliberate creation, taking responsibility for our lives, and acceptance.  I am really excited about this journey and celebrating the last year!  What are you celebrating?

  4. I came to you via Brene and in a mighty timely moment I must say. I am in process of leaving a toxic workplace too and I am glad to do so, even if overwhelmed at the moment! Congratulations to you! Best of luck!
PS I too have a new blog :)

  5. Nancy,

Congrats on your blog and leaving a toxic environment. I'd love to read your blog! As for leaving the job, what a journey you're on. Bumpy, eh? So healthy and scary. The dysfunction in toxic environments becomes what we know, our norm. My world was turned upside down when I left and didn't have that because I knew it so well. Even though I was/am so blessed to be gone, I was used to that environment and needed to take the time to get to know another way...

I'm thinking about you and sending you lots of light during this transistion!
    Beth
